Monday, March 22
Arrival & the bush begins.
Fly into Johannesburg and continue by bush plane to Marataba Safari Lodge, set in the Marakele National Park in South Africa’s Waterberg — your home for four nights. Settle in, then close the day with your first sunset drive and sundowners in the bush.
Tuesday–Thursday, March 23–25
The rhythm of the bush.
Sunrise drives with coffee in hand. Morning yoga under the trees. Long, unhurried afternoons at the lodge. Each day also holds a quiet, therapeutic thread — some things are better experienced than previewed.
Friday–Tuesday, March 26–30
Cape Town, and the way home.
Travel to the coast. A private villa above the city, with a sauna, gym, and cold plunge. The Oranjezicht Market, the V&A Waterfront, a Bo-Kaap tour, a Lion’s Head hike, Easter brunch at the villa, a day at Babylonstoren — and Table Mountain, weather permitting.

Monday, March 22 — Marataba Safari Lodge
Fly into Johannesburg and continue by bush plane to Marataba Safari Lodge in the Marakele National Park. Settle in, a safety briefing, welcome drinks, your first sunset game drive, and a group dinner at the lodge.
Tuesday–Thursday, March 23–25 — Marataba Safari Lodge
Sunrise drives, morning yoga, free time at the lodge, a therapeutic workshop each afternoon, sunset drives with sundowners, dinner at the lodge.
Friday, March 26 — Marataba Safari Lodge & Cape Town
Morning game drive, then travel to Cape Town and settle into the villa.
Saturday, March 27 — Cape Town
The Oranjezicht Market, a walk through the V&A Waterfront, and a Bo-Kaap tour.
Sunday, March 28 — Cape Town
Lion’s Head hike, Easter brunch at the villa, a pool or beach day, and Table Mountain (weather permitting).
Monday, March 29 — Cape Town
A day at Babylonstoren.
Tuesday, March 30 — Cape Town
Breakfast and check-out by noon. Staying on after is always encouraged.

Is it safe?
Yes. All safari activities are led by professional guides and trackers at established, reputable lodges.
What if I don't know anyone going?
Most guests don’t. Groups are capped at 10, small enough that real friendships form fast.
What's the therapeutic element, really?
Savanah is a Marriage & Family Therapist trained in EFT, IFS, and EMDR. It’s not group therapy — it’s a thoughtfully held space for reflection.
Do I need to get shots?
Not for malaria — Marataba Safari Lodge and Cape Town are both malaria-free. We recommend consulting your GP before the trip about routine travel vaccinations.
Are payment plans available?
