Safety & Trust

Is this actually safe?

Is it safe?

Yes. All safari activities are led by professional guides and trackers at established, reputable lodges. Vehicles, routes, and wildlife encounters are managed by experienced local staff who do this daily — this isn’t their first group, and it won’t be their last. Kismet also manages all in-country logistics from arrival to departure, so you’re never figuring things out alone.

No. We’re traveling to a low-risk malaria area, though some guests choose to take malaria pills as a precaution. We recommend consulting your GP before the trip to discuss what’s right for you.

Savanah is a Marriage & Family Therapist trained in EFT, IFS, and EMDR. She’s spent nearly a third of every year living in South Africa since 2023, building direct relationships with the lodges, guides, and local partners Kismet works with — nothing here is outsourced to a generic booking platform.

The workshops woven through the Kruger days draw on Savanah’s clinical training, but this isn’t group therapy — it’s a thoughtfully held space for connection and reflection, built into an adventure trip, not instead of one.

Who This Is For

Will I actually fit in?

What if I don't know anyone else going?

Most guests don’t. Groups are capped at 10, small enough that real friendships form fast — and every past guest has said the same thing: the group became one of the best parts of the trip.

Not at all. While we practice yoga throughout the trip, it’s designed to be accessible for all levels and is just one part of the experience. The heart of Kismet is stepping into a new environment, meeting incredible people, and immersing yourself in South Africa. Yoga simply gives us a chance to slow down, move our bodies, and be present between all the adventure.

Not at all! Our guests have ranged in age from 22 to 55, and every trip brings together people from different backgrounds and stages of life. What connects everyone isn’t age — it’s curiosity, openness, and a desire for meaningful travel and connection.

Game drives are seated and require no particular fitness. The Day 9 Lion’s Head hike is optional-adjacent but encouraged — about 2.5 hours uphill with some light scrambling. Let us know your comfort level when you reach out and we’ll help you plan around it.

Logistics & Planning

Can I actually afford this?

Are payment plans really available?

Yes — and encouraged. This trip is meant to be accessible to plan for, not just to take. Reach out and we’ll set up a plan that works for you. Payments are processed securely through Stripe.

South Africa 2027 is $5,500 per person, all in: 8 nights across three properties, private guides, 8 game drives, all safari meals, a private Cape Town chef, and all yoga workshops. Not included: international flights, travel insurance, spa treatments, and premium bar tabs.

The sooner, the better. Each retreat is intentionally limited to just 10 guests to create an intimate experience, and spots tend to fill well in advance. Even if you’re still deciding, we encourage you to reach out so we can connect and answer any questions you have.

Once you reach out, we’ll schedule a casual call with your host, Savanah. It’s a chance to get to know each other, learn more about the experience, ask any questions you have, and make sure the retreat feels like the right fit for you.

Still have a question?

We’d rather you ask now than wonder later. Reach out directly — you’ll hear back from Savanah, not an automated inbox.
